Photos by Abbie B. Berry

Today, I am grateful for:

2665. My church community.

2666. Abbie, who faithfully arranges flowers each week to remind us that God is creative and beautiful.

2667. Spiderwebs catching sunlight.

2668. A trimmed hedge and a new gate and my dad who made both happen.

2669. Jane the pied piper who spirits the twins away so I can snatch a few moments of quiet to write.

2670. Another good book to read with my kids.

2671. Box day! (That means our fall curriculum arrived—woot!)

2672. A long conversation with my sister.

2673. Sunshine.

2674. Soft baby skin. So kissable.

2675. A lovely in-person visit with my online friend Amy, a fellow tea drinker and true kindred spirit.

2676. Amy’s beautiful children, whom Jack and Jane adored.

2677. An all-girls’ lunch with my mother and daughter—in a conservatory surrounded by plants and the sound of running water. So beautiful.

2678. Hydrangeas in gorgeous bloom.

2679. Frodo Baggins. And Sam Gamgee. Especially Sam.

2680. Jane’s addition to her bedtime blessing on Sunday: “God bless J.R.R. Tolkien who wrote The Lord of the Rings. I love his book. Amen.”

2681. Luke’s laugh.
